Design Action Studio for Research, Architecture, and Urbanism is a critical and multimodal practice that operates across scales and publics- from environments, to buildings, to objects. The studio is committed to engaging architecture’s urban, aesthetic, and political dimensions as it responds to emergent 21st century issues.
Gabriel Fuentes
Gabriel Fuentes is Founder + Director of Design Action Studio for Research, Architecture, and Urbanism in New York City and an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Architecture at Kean University’s Michael Graves College. In addition to teaching architectural and urban design studios, he teaches building systems, architectural histories and theories, and seminars at the intersection of critical/cultural theory and contemporary urbanism. He has a Master of Architecture degree and a Graduate Certificate in Architectural History, Theory, and Criticism from Florida International University and a Master of Science degree in Architecture + Urban Design from Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
